Plan of Action for the implementation of UN SDGs at the High Commissioner’s Office in 2023
In light of the Danish Government’s focus on sustainability, ambitious climate action as well as the current energy crises, the High Commissioner’s Office in the Faroe Islands will in 2023 strive to promote UN SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) and 13 (Climate Action).
UN SDG no. 12 – Responsible Consumption and Production This goal focuses on efficient management of our shared natural resources, and the way in which we dispose of toxic waste and pollutants, as well as on encouraging industries, companies and consumers to reuse and reduce their waste. |
The High Commissioner in the Faroe Islands wants to contribute to ensuring responsible consumption and production. Concretely the High Commissioner’s Office will in 2023 work towards:
UN SDG no. 13 – Climate Action This goal focuses on limiting the rise in average global temperature to two degrees above pre-industrial levels, as well as on strengthening resilience and climate adaptation in vulnerable regions. |
